LED Masks:
Use & Care

8 minute readEveryday routine

A calm, consistent routine helps you get the most from an LED mask. Here is how to prepare your skin, choose a light mode, complete a session and keep your Nuvorite mask clean between uses.

01 — Before you begin

Start with clean, dry skin.

Remove makeup, sunscreen and leave-on skincare before the session. Starting with bare skin helps the mask sit evenly and keeps product residue away from the LED surface.

  1. 01Patch testBefore first use, test the light on a small area of your inner arm. Wait and check for unusual sensitivity.
  2. 02PrepareCleanse and dry your face. Remove glasses, contact lenses and metal accessories around the treatment area.
  3. 03FitPosition the eye, nose and mouth openings, then adjust the straps so the mask feels secure—not tight.
  4. 04SelectChoose one light routine and complete a 10-minute session. Keep eyes closed and do not stare directly at the LEDs.
New to LED? Begin with 3–5 sessions per week and notice how your skin responds. Do not exceed 20 minutes of total use in one day.

02 — Choose your routine

One mask. Four wavelengths.

The mask combines four light wavelengths across three easy modes. Select one mode per session according to your current skincare goal.

ModeWavelengthAppearance-focused use
ClarifyBlue · 455–465 nmFor routines focused on the look of blemish-prone skin.
GlowAmber · 585–595 nmFor a brighter-looking, more even and refreshed complexion.
RestoreRed 635 nm · Near-infrared 850 nmFor routines focused on the appearance of smoothness and firmness.

Near-infrared light is not visible to the human eye. An LED that looks unlit may still be operating in the near-infrared range.

03 — After your session

Finish simply.

For your skin

Power off and remove the mask. Follow with a gentle hydrating serum or moisturizer. If your skin feels warm or dry, keep the rest of the routine simple and skip strong exfoliants.

For the device

Disconnect the controller. Wipe the mask with a soft, slightly damp lint-free cloth, then let it air-dry fully before storing. Keep the controller and charging port dry.

04 — Use with care

Listen to your skin.

LED skincare should feel comfortable. Mild warmth can occur; heat, pain, strong redness or unusual discomfort are signals to stop.

  • Do not use on open wounds, active infections or severely inflamed skin.
  • Wait after aggressive cosmetic procedures until a qualified professional says your skin is ready.
  • Do not stare directly at the LEDs. Use the supplied eye protection if included, and keep eyes closed during the session.
  • Ask a healthcare professional before use if you are pregnant, photosensitive, taking photosensitizing medication, have an eye condition or use an implanted medical device.
  • Stop the session immediately if you experience pain, burning, dizziness, vision changes, pronounced redness or another unexpected reaction.

05 — Quick answers

LED mask care, clarified.

Can I apply serum before using the mask?

Use the mask on clean, dry skin unless the final product manual specifically approves a compatible product. Apply your hydrating skincare after the session.

Why do some LEDs appear not to light up?

Near-infrared light at 850 nm is outside the visible spectrum, so those LEDs may not look illuminated even while operating.

Can I use more than one mode in a day?

Keep total daily use within 20 minutes and avoid increasing frequency in an attempt to speed up visible results. If your skin is sensitive, use one 10-minute mode and allow recovery time.

What if the mask feels too warm?

End the session, remove the mask and let your skin and the device cool. Do not resume use if warmth becomes uncomfortable or if the device appears damaged.
